Domestic Relations

The kind of issues that require the range of services offered by Prince, Lobel, Glovsky & Tye LLP’s Domestic Relations Practice Group can have a deep emotional and financial impact on individuals, families, and owners of businesses. Handling such issues with the proper sensitivity and perspective requires more than a technical knowledge of family law. It requires an acute awareness of the psychological ripples that the parties involved are currently experiencing – and will experience once the matter at hand is resolved.

The Domestic Relations group concentrates on complex matrimonial matters.  The group represents clients in various courts, but also works to resolve matters through negotiations and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. Our range of services includes:

  • Divorce
  • Alimony and asset division
  • Child custody
  • Child support
  • Paternity
  • Removal
  • Adoption
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Guardianship and conservatorship
  • Guardian ad litem
  • Interstate and international matrimonial matters
  • Trials and appeals in state and federal courts
  • Modification and contempt
  • Equity proceedings
  • Cohabitation/non-marital agreements

Group members are associated with and have served as officers in prestigious matrimonial law organizations including the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association.  Group members have been active in providing instruction in family law at area law schools and in legal continuing education programs.
