Prince Lobel attorneys joined over 650 attorneys and law students at the 18th Annual Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid on Thursday, January 26 of this year. This event, which constitutes one of the largest lobby days of the year at the Massachusetts State House, supports the Equal Justice Coalition’s legislative campaign to fund the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation in the Fiscal Year 2018 state budget.
Civil legal aid is made available to low-income residents of Massachusetts who live at or below 125% of the federal poverty level. Without funding, the nearly one million residents of the Commonwealth currently eligible for civil legal aid would lose access to essential legal advice and representation.
