Women still find it difficult to take an active role in the family’s estate planning. Often, the husband makes the majority of business decisions and deals with advisors, accountants, attorneys, etc. Since women outlive men by an average of seven years, however, it is often she who will either benefit or suffer from the estate planning decisions.
