According to Reuters, more than four million Americans got engaged on Valentine’s Day. But as unromantic as it may seem, couples need to have an honest conversation about finances, including a discussion about whether to sign a prenuptial agreement.

Patricia Annino, a Prince Lobel partner and chair of the firm’s Estate Planning & Probate Practice Group, states that “All marriages terminate, whether it is in divorce or death. Signing a prenuptial agreement is assurance your assets go where you want them to.”
