Robert A. Bertsche Quoted in Burlington Free Press Regarding Court’s Decision Not to Release Court Records and Search Warrants June 27, 2011

the Vermont Supreme Court has temporarily agreed to a request by county
prosecutors to “keep confidential search warrants and related documents” about
the couple’s suspicious disappearance.
According to Rob, “there is a long historical need for court
records, especially search warrants, to be public. It’s a fundamental democratic
principle that secrecy breeds distrust of the government.”
