Citing the recent and contentious case concerning Brooke Astor and her son Anthony Marshall, who was eventually convicted of grand larceny and sentenced to prison, Patricia notes that “when issues of family wealth, inheritance and competence are combined with powerful emotional issues, the mixture becomes combustible; sometimes it explodes.”
