COBRA Benefits for Family Members in the US: Jeffrey A. Dretler Provides Advice in February 22, 2010 “Job Doc” Column

Jeff responds to a question from a man who had resigned from his job in Boston, but had elected to continue health care benefits under COBRA for himself, his wife, and his son.  The man has since moved to India, while his wife and son remain in Boston.  He was wondering if his family would remain covered under COBRA, even if he was unavailable to sign certain documents.
