Patrick Corrects Condo Tax Error Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Gov. Deval L. Patrick has eased the fears of condominium owners by correcting a legislative error that would have resulted in higher taxes for condos had the provision not been corrected before 2010.

Rubin, a partner in Prince Lobel's real estate practice group.
"That was why we were so anxious to make sure we got this done this year," she said. "Otherwise, we would have a retroactive period that could cause problems."
