Letterman Scandal a Lesson in Risks of Office Liaisons: Richard D. Glovsky Quoted in Lawyers USA, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

The recent David Letterman scandal is yet another reminder of the potential risks and liabilities of interoffice romances. Whether or not the employee files a sexual harassment claim, the employer may still be liable, especially if the relationship is between a supervisor and his/her subordinate.

Richard Glovsky, chair of  Prince Lobel’s employment law practice group, states that “Letterman and his production company may all be potentially be liable if any of the women who had a relationship with him presses a claim. Oftentimes, ‘victims’ will come forward when a situation becomes so public because they feel they have some protection and they’re not going to be retaliated against.”
