Prince Lobel is pleased to welcome Jo Ann Shotwell Kaplan to the firm’s Litigation and Environmental Practice Groups. Jo Ann will offer a full range of business, employment, and environmental litigation services, together with environmental compliance, permitting, regulatory, and transactional assistance.
Prior to joining Prince Lobel, Jo Ann served as general counsel of the New England Legal Foundation. In that capacity she engaged in appellate advocacy on issues of importance to the business and real estate communities before the United States Supreme Court, the First and Second Circuit Courts of Appeals, and state appellate courts throughout New England.
Jo Ann also practiced in the field of environmental law and litigation for 17 years and served as the head of litigation for Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Waltham, MA. At the multinational public company, she handled and supervised cases spanning the full range of civil litigation, and provided representation on employment, insurance, and environmental, health, and safety matters.
