GlobalPost.com Live on Internet January 12

GlobalPost.com, the web-based international news agency founded by Philip Balboni and Charles Sennott, is set to launch on the Internet on Monday, January 12, 2009.  This will be the first web-based news organization to provide daily coverage of international news from every region of the world through a team of more than 70 correspondents in 53 countries.
 
GlobalPost.com has chosen Jeffrey A. Newman of Prince, Lobel, Glovsky & Tye LLP to handle all media, intellectual property and contract related legal issues.  Mr. Newman, who represents New England Cable News (NECN) and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, said, "Given the instability in the world and the pressing need for timely information about what is happening and what those events mean in our lives, I expect GlobalPost.com will play a central role in providing critical insight for all viewers.  The news business has a new business model that is the future of things to come."
