David C. Kurtz Partner

David C. Kurtz is a partner in Prince Lobel Glovsky & Tye's Employment Law Practice Group. 

David focuses his practice on resolving employment disputes through litigation, arbitration, and mediation.  He also counsels clients regarding matters including hiring and firing decisions, severance agreements, employee handbooks, employee discipline, wage and hour laws, and compliance with state and local statutes, regulations, and case law.

David also has an active labor law practice.  He represents employers in all facets of the management-union relationship, including negotiations and collective bargaining, elections, arbitrations, and unfair labor practice charges. He also has significant experience before the DOL, EEOC, MCAD and NLRB.  

David counsels clients in connection with claims related to restrictive covenants, including confidentiality agreements, covenants-not-to-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and the misappropriation of trade secrets.  David has represented unionized and non-unionized employers ranging from Fortune 500 companies to high-tech start ups, as well as executives in employment related matters.  

Prior to joining Prince Lobel, David was a director and chair of the Labor and Employment Practice Group at Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple, P.C. in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a labor and employment attorney in the New York office of Proskauer Rose LLP, and the Boston offices of Foley Hoag LLP and Choate Hall & Stewart LLP.   

David has written several articles and has served on a variety of seminar panels.  As a student at Boston College Law School, David served as an editor of the Boston College Law Review and was a member of a national championship moot court team.
