Thomas K. Westort Associate

Thomas K. Westort is an associate in Prince Lobel Glovsky & Tye’s Corporate Practice Group. Tom concentrates his practice in general corporate law, including mergers and acquisition transactions, commercial and venture financing, and servicing the wide range of needs of early-to-middle-stage companies and non-profit organizations.

Prior to joining Prince Lobel, Tom practiced corporate law with Ropes & Gray in Boston, where he worked with a broad range of clients, including small to medium-size high-tech and manufacturing companies and very large private equity and LBO funds. He advised clients in aspects of debt and equity financing, corporate governance, acquisition and disposition transactions, and public bond finance. He also spent time practicing corporate law in Providence, Rhode Island, with Adler, Pollock & Sheehan, PC. Tom is also a licensed CPA, and he spent several years working with a national accounting firm in Massachusetts before going to law school. He is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Tom was an editor for the Journal of International Economic Law and an active member of the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic. He completed a significant portion of his law school coursework at the Wharton School examining the intersection of law and business.

Tom graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts in 1995.  He earned his B.B.A. at the Isenberg School of Management with a concentration in accounting science and with a minor in Latin American studies. Tom has traveled extensively in Latin America, and is fluent in Spanish.
