Craig R. Browne
Partner
Craig R. Browne is a trial attorney with a practice that concentrates in commercial, deceptive trade practice acts, consumer protection, and insurance defense litigation. He represents automobile manufacturers, insurance companies, and telecommunication companies in product liability, warranty litigation, and personal injury litigation. For more than 20 years, he has worked with members of each company’s in-house legal department, providing an aggressive trial approach and experienced case management with an emphasis on containing legal costs.
As a trial attorney with an entertainment law background, Craig has represented and continues to represent national recording companies, high-profile artists, managers, and music and film production companies in the entertainment industry. He has litigated a variety of entertainment matters pertaining to disputes concerning copyright, trademark and Lanham Act claims, defamation, First Amendment issues, breach of contract, intellectual property and the Internet, and non-compete/unique services agreements.
Prior to joining Prince Lobel, Craig was a partner at the law firms of Goldstein & Manello and Budd, Wiley and Richlin. He also served as an assistant attorney general for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Division from 1978 to 1983.
In 2005, Craig was recognized in Boston magazine as a Massachusetts “Super Lawyer.” He received the Civil Litigation Concentration Award from the Suffolk University Law School Alumni Association. Craig is also a member of the Suffolk University Board of Visitors. He recently served on a panel at the Suffolk Law School Center for Advanced Legal Studies.
