Michael G. Xavier

Michael G. Xavier is an associate in Prince Lobel's Domestic Relations Practice Group. A trial lawyer, Michael has gained a substantial amount of trial experience covering a wide range of criminal cases, from white-collar prosecutions to domestic violence. He handles all areas of family law litigation, including pre- and postnuptial agreements, complex divorce cases, modification, removal, guardianship activities, will contests, same-sex divorce, and custody. Michael also represents clients in restraining order hearings and criminal matters.
He is particularly interested in cutting-edge legal issues, such as reproductive technology and non-traditional marriages. In May 2009, Michael participated in a training program regarding same-sex marriages for probation officers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
In 2010, Super Lawyers magazine recognized Michael as a "Rising Star" in the area of family law.
Before joining Prince Lobel in November 2004, Michael was an associate at another venerable Boston law firm, where he practiced white-collar criminal litigation and domestic relations in all Massachusetts courts. Before that, Michael was employed as an assistant district attorney in the office of the Bristol County District Attorney.
Michael also served as a law clerk to the Superior Court Justices of Massachusetts upon graduation from law school.
