John E. Matosky Associate

John E. Matosky is an associate in Prince Lobel’s Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, John practiced insurance coverage and litigation with the Boston firms Donovan Hatem and Burns & Levinson.

John has a broad range of expertise in the areas of reinsurance and specialized insurance coverage issues, and focuses on helping business clients resolve complex commercial disputes through litigation, arbitration, and mediation. His work includes matters concerning media and publishing liabilities, and environmental and toxic tort liabilities. He also advises clients regarding claims handling practices and insurance regulatory matters.

John has counseled and represented clients in state and federal court with respect to contract disputes and business torts, including matters under state and federal fair business practices laws.  

John is a contributor to the firm’s insurance law blog, Consider The Risks, and he has written extensively on emerging insurance law issues.

While at Boston University School of Law, John was recognized as an Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar, and was an editor of the school’s Public Interest Law Journal.
