Michelle B. Kalas Associate

Michelle B. Kalas is an attorney in the Estate Planning and Probate Practice Group of Prince Lobel Glovsky & Tye. She provides sophisticated estate planning services to clients that address the impact of income, gift, estate, and generation skipping transfer taxation. Michelle also represents fiduciaries administering estates and trusts, beneficiaries and fiduciaries in will contests and other probate litigation, clients negotiating prenuptial agreements, and clients requiring trust expertise in family law litigation.  She counsels clients on the creation and administration of nonprofit organizations, including how to acquire tax-exempt status and comply with Internal Revenue Service and state requirements for tax-exempt organizations.

Prior to joining Prince Lobel, Michelle was an associate at Goodwin Procter LLP, where her practice focused on a wide range of corporate, finance, and securities matters. She also counseled nonprofit organizations on matters such as acquiring tax-exempt status and complying with Internal Revenue Service and state requirements for tax-exempt organizations.  While in law school, Michelle was a staff writer for the First Amendment Law Review, which published her note entitled "Minority Report: The Endorsement Test and Native American Religions on Federal Lands."  Michelle subsequently served as an article and notes editor for the First Amendment Law Review.

Michelle is a member of the New Lawyer's Section Steering Committee and the Trusts & Estates Law Section Steering Committee of the Boston Bar Association.
